Thermo-Plastics:
We process all thermo plastics from PE to Peek.

Typically structural foam fabrication (& counter pressure) uses PG, PP, PC, PA, PBT, PPE / PPO; but all thermoplastics materials are possibilities.

Structural Foam entails mixing a blowing agent / gas to produce a foam. Plastic is injected. The processing condition allows the foam to expand in the mold. This allows for thicker wall sections, and higher stiffness for the weight of the plastics. The condition also minimizes sink marks in the part.

Structural foam’s disadvantage is that the resulting skin of the part may be less than perfect. High-appearance foam parts usually require additional painting, unless we use counter-pressure.

Counter-Pressure works with and without the foaming agent in the injection molding process. This results in flatter, smoother surfaces with less warp; thus providing a higher-quality part.
